The presenters will provide valuable insights to the planning and design features of recent cancer care facility projects: Jack Ady Cancer Centre (Lethbridge),Central Alberta Cancer Centre (Red Deer) and the current project, Grand Prairie Cancer Centre (Grand Prairie). Innovative design features that support a patient and family centred healing environment including doorless vaults, design incorporating human factors, simulation, and integration of feedback through from a Health Quality Council of Alberta evaluation to the design process will be highlighted.
