Peter Bak, Chief Information Officer from Toronto’s Humber River Hospital was a key member of the team in the development of the Hospital said to be the first digital Hospital in North America. This project included innovative building design, digital transformation and leveraging of robots that mix drugs, transport goods and automate blood sample analysis. It was completed in late 2015 and has demonstrated significant benefit: cost efficiency, higher safety and quality, and increased patient satisfaction. Peter will talk about the process of developing an intelligent hospital, lessons learned, and the next phase of the journey to achieve high reliability and care transformation.
