D’Arcy IB Innovative Technology and Design 2016 new
Innovation in health care is our best solution to the growing challenges and crises faced across Canadian hospitals. In spite of the general consensus for innovations, the specific implementation of new solutions and advances within clinical front lines remains relatively slow and or unchanged. This talk will provide an example where innovation focused on technology advances has demonstrated rapid returns in improved quality of care and economics of care that was incubated at BC’s Innovation Boulevard. Real world clinical demonstrations from embedded innovation-based health care environments showcase advanced treatment in neurology/neurosurgery, with associated best practices currently being deployed on wider scales.
