The presentation touches on some previous and current Post Occupancy Evaluation studies. Provides an overview of the ministry’s interest in developing and/or utilizing a standardized POE tool to evaluate the outcomes and performance of capital projects from several perspectives including the effectiveness of planning assumptions and design innovations. Also highlighted is the consideration to establish a body of knowledge and evidence-based data to support future capital project planning and to inform investment decision. The presentation also highlights the ministry current participation with the Canadian Standards Association in the development of a Framework for Post Occupancy Evaluation that will meet the needs of diverse stakeholder groups.
