Deb Allatt is an experienced health care manager with many years working in both Ontario and Alberta. Deb graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and from the University of Toronto with a Master of Health Science. Working in cancer care since 1994, her experience at the London Regional Cancer Centre, the oncology unit of the Cambridge General Hospital, the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, and now in a provincial capacity as a manager for Cancer Care Alberta has given her a broad perspective of cancer care and the needs of those both working in the system and those experiencing cancer. Deb is settler-descended and comes from the traditional and current lands of the Mohawk Nation. Deb considers it a gift to have the opportunity to work, learn, and develop new relationships in the space of Indigenous cancer care.
