Catherine serves as Assistant Deputy Minister of Hospitals and Capital Division for the Ministry of Health. As ADM, she is responsible for providing strategic leadership, policy and funding direction related to the capital and operational requirements of the Ontario’s 140 hospitals and provincial priority programs such as cancer care, renal care, surgery, maternal child, and vulnerable populations such as the AIDS HIV. The Division is responsible for over $30B of annual provincial
disbursements.
Previous to her senior government official role, she served as Vice President, Clinical at University Health Network (UHN). She was the executive lead to UHN’s Diagnostic Programs which include Laboratory Medicine and the Joint Department of Medical Imaging. She also led UHN’s organizational-wide strategies for Outpatient and Virtual Care with the aim to provide high quality, integrated, compassionate care consistently across its 300 clinics and 5 sites.
Catherine is appointed as Assistant Professor to the Department of Medical Imaging, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She also holds an academic appointment at The Institute for Education Research at UHN as Education Investigator.
Earlier in her career, Catherine has held progressive management roles within the rehab, paediatric and acute care sectors.
