With over 30 years of experience, Mike Keen is recognized as a leader in healthcare infrastructure and development of the built environment of care.

As Vice-President & Chief Planning Officer at Unity Health Toronto, he provides corporate leadership for the development and implementation of strategic capital plans for a multi-site health network that provides seamless care from primary, to tertiary acute to post-acute care. In this capacity, he currently leads over $4 Billion in redevelopment as well as a significant renewal of inpatient, outpatient and surgical programs.

Mike has been a champion for positive transformational change and continuous quality improvement for over 30 years in healthcare standards. Currently a board member of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), he has provided ongoing leadership in the development of an extensive suite of Healthcare Standards.

Mike was past Chair of the Healthcare Technical Committee at the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), an active member of the Healthcare Ventilation Standard and was the inaugural Chair of the Infectious Diseases Committee.

Mike is a co-founder of the Canadian Centre for Healthcare Facilities (CCHF) and continues to serve on its Board of Directors.
