Kyle is a Board-Certified Healthcare Architect and Principal at Parkin Architects in Vancouver whose work focuses on creating healthcare environments that strengthen communities, advance equity, and support human dignity. With experience across Canada, Europe, and the United States, he has led the planning and design of complex hospital, mental health, and community health projects that blend evidence-based practice with a deep understanding of culture, place, and healing.
As Clinical Planning Lead Architect for the new Quw’utsun Valley Hospital, Kyle helped shape a hospital developed in partnership with Cowichan Tribes and guided by the Nation’s values, cultural identity, and aspirations for community health and wellness. He serves on the Board of Regents of the American College of Healthcare Architects and is a founding Associate Board Member of Design in Mental Health Network North America (DiMHN-NA), helping expand international collaboration and innovation in therapeutic and mental healthcare design. Through his practice, leadership, and advocacy, Kyle champions healthcare environments that foster recovery, resilience, and belonging.
