David joined EllisDon in 1987, and in the years since has managed and administered an expansive portfolio that includes some of EllisDon’s most distinguished projects, both across Canada and around the world. In Canada, he was responsible for overseeing landmark initiatives, including the 10-city Cineplex Cinemas – National Expansion Program projects, the cross-Canada McDonald’s Destination 2012 re-imaging program, and Target Canada’s multi-site rollout.

Since 2002, David has led what is now the Project Advisory & Management team, whose comprehensive list of services includes feasibility analysis, strategic capital planning, functional planning, value engineering, as well as advisory services involving procurement, contracts, constructability, and sustainability. Here, his future-focused strategies have expanded EllisDon’s array of services, both geographically and functionally. Project Advisory & Management has evolved into an in-house unit consisting of project strategists, planners, and problem-solvers who guide clients through every phase of a project, from feasibility, design, and procurement to construction and closeout.

Under David’s visionary leadership, the Project Advisory & Management team provides outside-the-box thinking, accepting any challenge as a new opportunity to help clients and build on EllisDon’s vast resume of experience. He has managed complex projects such as post-hurricane damage assessments for insurance companies in Grand Cayman, hospital redesign and planning in Sioux Lookout, and cleanup operations following the 2024 Jasper wildfire.

In 2025, David took on the leadership role in coordinating efforts with Ontario’s Ministry of Emergency Preparedness to formulate disaster response strategies. He remains committed to providing exceptional service to all EllisDon clients.
