Shane Czypyha

Shane is an engaged and hands-on architect who thrives on collaboration and bringing design concepts to life. With a deep understanding of project complexities, Shane is adept at navigating design challenges while fostering teamwork and alignment among stakeholders. He is the AMT member in charge of Design on Cowichan District Hospital Alliance, and was the Coordinating Registered Professional on Red Fish Healing Centre for Mental Health and Addictions.

Shane has a leadership style focused on consensus-building, empowerment and collaboration. As a CDH AMT member, he is responsible for Indigenous engagement and representation in the design, meeting with all first nations and organizations in the region on a regular basis. Shane facilitates regular workshops and orientations focused on team building and collaborative decision-making. Additionally, Shane draws on his wealth of P3 and design-build experience to deliver projects from kickoff to handover. As a Principal and Project Architect, he has worked closely with Indigenous communities, design teams, and BIM compliance specialists to deliver thoughtful and impactful projects.

Shane’s deep understanding of project complexities allows him to navigate design challenges while fostering teamwork and alignment among stakeholders. His collaborative, team-first approach has been instrumental in leading high-performance teams to deliver facilities that make their communities proud.
