Ramona Rodrigues

Ramona Rodrigues is the Manager for Infection Prevention and Control at the McGill University Health Center, she has more than 30 years of experience in the field and has worked in Pediatrics, Adults, Community and Long-Term Care settings.  She has obtained and maintains her certification In Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) in Canada and the United States of America and has obtained her certification as an Infirmière clinicienne spécialisée (ICS) en prévention et contrôle des infections (PCI) with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec [Order of Nurses in Quebec] (OIIQ).   Ramona is currently a Board member of the National Infection Prevention and Control Association of Canada (IPAC-Canada), a member of the Canadian National Infection Surveillance Program Committee – Public Health Agency of Canada, a Membre expert pour Le Groupe Hygiène et Salubrité en regard de la Lutte aux Infections Nosocomiales – MSSS Québec, Membre expert pour La Table Nationale de la Prévention des Infections Nosocomiales (TNPIN) -MSSS Quebec  and has been on several other committee and expert groups throughout her career.  Since 2008 she has taught Infection Prevention and Control at the Ingram School of Nursing, McGill University.  Ramona has been mentoring nurses entering the field including Infectious Diseases Fellows in training. She has presented and published extensively.
