Noor Esmail

NOOR ESMAIL is the Chief Project Officer for the Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment Project and Executive Director at the Fraser Health Authority. He is responsible for leading the project team and is accountable for the delivery of the Phase 1 new tower and existing renovations, which are currently in construction, and the Phase 2 new tower and cancer centre, which are currently in procurement. The government has approved the combined project in excess of $2.4 billion in aggregate. Before joining Fraser Health, Noor had been with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and Lower Mainland Facilities Management supporting the planning and implementation of significant strategic and capital projects for VCH, including Lions Gate and Richmond Hospitals acute care towers. Before this, Noor had been the Owner’s Representative and Director for twelve years with the Aga Khan Development Network (www.AKDN.org) based in Dubai, U.A.E. and Nairobi, Kenya supporting capital project development primarily in education and healthcare in Africa, the Middle East and South / Central Asia. Noor has a diverse academic background and holds multiple degrees in architecture and physiology from McGill University. When not working, Noor is passionate about running, tennis, food and his three beautiful children – two young adult daughters and one baby Aussie Shepherd x Husky!
