Michael Feraday

Michael Feraday is Executive Director of the Barrie and Community Family Health Team (BCFHT), one of the largest family health teams in Ontario.  The BCFHT has a high degree of connectivity that has all 92 physicians on one Electronic Medical Records. As a result, Barrie has one of the largest primary care databases in Canada.

Under Michael’s leadership, the BCFHT is playing a leading role in championing Patients First legislation. Michael championed a collaboration with Northwest to design and build a Primary Care Campus in Barrie. Michael was also instrumental in establishing the Healthy Barrie Initiative which is a partnership between the City of Barrie, Public Health, the University of Toronto and the BCFHT. One of the goals of the partnership is to create a more integrated and collaborative platform for improving population health.

Michael has over 30 years experience in senior leadership roles as President & CEO, General Manager and Executive Director.  Michael has worked in both the private and not for profit sectors.  He has an extensive background in strategic planning and was once featured in an article in Canadian Business Magazine for his innovative work in product development.  He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Business Administration.
