Marcia Medrano

Marcia is a seasoned project management professional, with 12 years of experience in the construction industry.  Marcia is currently Project Director at the CAMH Redevelopment Office, overseeing the early planning stages of the next phase of redevelopment on the CAMH Queen St W campus, which involves the design and construction of an approximately 600,000 sq ft Forensic Mental Health Facility in the heart of downtown Toronto.  In her previous role as Director, AFP Major Projects at Infrastructure Ontario, Marcia focused exclusively on the delivery of large, complex healthcare projects, including mental health, acute care, and complex continuing care and rehab facilities.  For over 7 years, she led multi-disciplinary teams, with a wide variety of stakeholders, through the planning, design, procurement and construction phases of the projects.  Prior to her departure from IO, her most recent projects included the third phase of redevelopment on the CAMH campus, and the West Park Healthcare Centre redevelopment project, both in Toronto.   During her tenure at IO, Marcia was involved in a number of continuous improvement initiatives to support the evolution and refinement of the Alternative Financing and Procurement (AFP) model to address the changes and challenges in healthcare delivery in the province of Ontario.
