Elizabeth Lalingo is the Director of Medicine at Markham Stouffville Hospital. The portfolio includes critical care, access and flow, respiratory therapy, three medical units, Alternate Level of Care (ALC), palliative, complex continuing care the integrated stroke unit. Elizabeth has let many quality improvement initiatives such as the standardization of practices in the outpatient clinics. She is currently involved in the implementation of two hallway medicine strategies with a community partner to improve the ALC rate and improve access to acute care beds within the facility.
