Dr. Steven Beyea is a medical imaging physicist, the Scientific Director of the Biomedical Translational Imaging Centre (BIOTIC) at the IWK and QEII Health Science Centres in Halifax, and Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at Dalhousie University. He has published 51 peer-reviewed articles, 140 conference abstracts, and filed 3 patents. As a PI, his research has attracted roughly $4M in external funding in the past 3-years alone. Dr. Beyea’s research program spans the discovery and validation of new image acquisition technologies and analysis algorithms that can be rapidly translated into the health system.
