Bill Bailey

Bill Bailey is recognized in Ontario as one of the most experienced leaders in healthcare infrastructure planning and project delivery.  With more than 25 years of project experience in Ontario, Bill brings an extensive knowledge of hospital facility planning and strategic capital development to his position at Halton Healthcare Services.

Prior to joining Halton Healthcare Services in 2006, Bill held a Senior Executive position at the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) where he was responsible for planning and managing the Ontario health capital investment portfolio.  During his tenure at the Ministry of Health, Bill led the provincial planning for the first two Ontario P3 pilot projects – the Brampton Civic Hospital and the Royal Ottawa Health Centre.

As Vice President, Redevelopment at Halton Healthcare Services, Bill provides corporate leadership for the development of enterprise-wide long range strategic capital plans.  In this capacity, he was the Executive Lead responsible for the planning and delivery of the new Oakville Hospital Project; a new 1.6 million square foot facility which opened in December, 2015 with a total project cost of $2.7 billion.  Bill is also leading the delivery of the Milton District Hospital Expansion project, a $512 million 330,000 square foot addition to the existing campus which is scheduled to open in October of 2017.  With the successful delivery of the redevelopment of the Georgetown Hospital Diagnostic and Emergency Departments, Bill is leading the planning for the next major redevelopment at the Hospital’s Georgetown Campus.

Together with the professional Redevelopment Office staff, Bill and his Team are currently providing the oversight of projects at all three hospital sites with a total net present value approaching 3 billion dollars.
