Basel Abdulaal is the Chair of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) – Alberta Chapter. He is an architect with a Master’s degree in Construction Management and has extensive experience in the design, planning, construction and commissioning of health care projects. His research focus is the application of Lean and simulation in Emergency Department processes. In his current role, Basel is the Capital Management lead for the 2030 Plan and Master Plans projects and is responsible for sustainable master planning across the Edmonton Zone of Alberta Health Services. He has participated in numerous international conferences and presented distinguished research papers.
