Barb Collins

Chief Operating Officer

Barb Collins joined HRH in November 1999 as Vice President of Planning and Support Services and in 2002 moved to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Barb now leads the implementation of the redevelopment project and is the key liaison to the MoH, Ontario Realty Corporation and Infrastructure Ontario.

Barb graduated as a registered nurse in 1976 and subsequently obtained a BA in Health Admin and in 2005 an MBA from Queen’s University. She has clinical and management experience in a wide variety of programs in acute care hospitals including, Intensive Care, Emergency, Obstetrics, Outpatient clinics and the Operating Room as well as Support Services departments.

From 1995 – 2005 Barb was a member and Vice-Chair of the Health Services Appeal and Review Board.

From 2002 – 2009 Barb was a volunteer member of the Board of Directors for Booth Centennial Health Care Linen Services (BCHLS). She led a significant restructuring of the company, moving the organization to a profitable service oriented business.
