Tory McKillop

Tory joined EllisDon in 2004 as a Mechanical & Electrical (“M&E”) Coordinator on the company’s first Public-Private Partnership project – Brampton Civic Hospital. As the project’s M&E Coordinator, Tory’s role grew to include not only the M&E works, but also the coordination of all variations and medical equipment procurement and installation. Upon the project’s successful completion, Tory completed her Master of Business Administration at The Richard Ivey School of Business and built her business acumen with a keen focus on communications, commercial terms, and risk management.

Tory returned to EllisDon and has continued to enhance her expertise and knowledge by taking on pivotal leadership roles and solving challenges across the organization’s Capital; Procurement; Emerging Markets; and Energy & Digital Services teams.

In her current role as FED’s Vice President, Tory has grown the original team of three to a team of 20 and she has enhanced the team’s service offering with a keen focus on self-performed work. She is proud to be supporting EllisDon projects from east to west across Canada and across a diverse set of sectors (i.e., healthcare, judiciary, education, social housing, and sport to name a few).

Tory capitalizes on her diverse understanding of the Design-Build-Finance-Maintain process, gained through her project experiences from the perspective of the Design Builder, an Equity Provider, and a Subcontractor. Her strong mediation and leadership skills have enabled her to communicate effectively with various project stakeholders and implement mutually beneficial solutions. In addition, Tory’s ability to prioritize, schedule and execute tasks in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment is second to none. Finally, throughout her almost 20-year career with EllisDon, Tory has executed projects across Canada as well as abroad in Japan, United Arab Emirates, China, Colombia, USA, Peru, and Chile).
