Stephen Parker, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, NOMA

Stephen is a licensed architect and dedicated behavioral health planner at Stantec. A proponent of “architect as advocate” for colleague, client, and community alike, he believes strongly in leadership through service.  Stephen has served a diverse client base, including the Cleveland Clinic, Kaiser Permanente, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Trillium Health, Interior Health, and the Government of Nunavut. He has volunteered as a pro-bono medical planner in the US and abroad, is an accomplished design researcher and advocate of mental health world-wide. Stephen has been named a Behavioral Health Business Future Leader, AIA AAH U40 Award, ENR Top 20 under 40 Young Professional, HCD Rising Star, HFSE George Pressler Under 40 Award recipient, and is a ULI Health Leader.  Stephen is the youngest licensed architect elected to the AIA Strategic Council, having led their Mental Health + Architecture Incubator during the pandemic. He currently serves as Associate Director for the Design in Mental Health Network headquartered in England, is a founding member for the Center for Health Design’s Behavioral & Mental Health Environment Network and US Representative to the International Union of Architect’s Public Health Group.
