Since joining Stantec in 2015, Robyn Whitwham has been driven by a passion for designing spaces that strengthen and uplift communities. Her approach is guided by a belief that spaces caring for our most vulnerable populations should be designed with the voices of the end users at every step. More than just meeting the functional needs, the design should respond to the human experience at its heart. Robyn’s work includes transformative projects such as mixed-program shelters for women, transitional housing, large scale hospitals, and mental health support centers—spaces that directly impact the lives of those she shares her city with. As Project Architect on Stella’s Place, Robyn led the young adult design consultant team, an experience that taught her the value of creativity sparked by diversity. Her designs reflect a deep commitment to community wellbeing and a whole-person approach to care.
