Mickey Daye Med, BScN, RN

Mickey Daye, is one of the clinical directors for the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM) Health Care Redevelopment Project, a project that will help reshape health care delivery in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM). In his role, Mickey is responsible for the development of the new community health centres and long term care facilities in New Waterford and North Sydney, as well as the new laundry facility in North Sydney.

Mickey has worked in long term care, community nursing, medical surgical nursing, paediatrics and neonatal intensive care. Before joining the team, he was the director of integrated health for hospitals in Glace Bay, New Waterford and North Sydney and site lead for Northside General Hospital (NSG). He also taught in the nursing program at Cape Breton University (CBU), and currently teaches part-time in the nursing program at St. Francis Xavier.
