Meryl developed her commitment to quality patient and family care during her first 20-year career as a medical social worker at Grand River Hospital and The Kidney Foundation of Canada. Meryl is now a semi-retired health care manager following a second 20-year career successfully developing and advancing health capital projects in Ontario. She retired from the position of Manager, GTA Capital Team, Health Capital Investment Branch at the Ministry of Health in 2015 and has since been consulting with Ontario hospitals. Her knowledge of major health capital development and of Ministry and Infrastructure Ontario processes position her to provide high quality assistance. Since leaving the ministry she has served in an advisory capacity to the redevelopment departments of over 15 hospitals including Trillium Health Partners, Unity Health, Michael Garron Hospital, Humber River Hospital, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Mackenzie Health, West Park Healthcare Centre, The Hospital for Sick Children, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Brant Community Healthcare System.
