Gloria Kain, MHA

Gloria Kain brings over 25 years of healthcare experience to her role as Vice President of Planning, Development and Transformation at the Hospital for Sick Children, a position she accepted in January 2025 after serving as an Executive Advisor for Project Horizon for a year.

Gloria’s extensive background in healthcare, capital redevelopment, consulting, and hospital management has equipped her with the expertise to lead complex projects and drive innovation in the healthcare sector. Her vision and approach to redevelopment have been instrumental in completing Ontario’s first Design Build Finance Maintain hospital and supporting large-scale hospital redevelopments under the Progressive P3 model.

Gloria’s diverse experience spans acute care hospitals, rehabilitation and complex care facilities, academic institutions, mental health facilities, community-based care, and government roles, making her a valuable asset in the healthcare industry.

Gloria earned a Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa and an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Western Ontario.
