Doug Webber has been working in green development for over 25 years. He is a recognized leader, working with project teams to define and deliver on sustainability goals in buildings, communities, and policies. He has delivered sustainability consulting on hundreds of projects, helping to deliver many award-winners including the Brickworks (which won a Charter Award from the Congress for New Urbanism) and Waterfront Toronto’s Minimum Green Building Requirements (which won a Globe Award for Environmental Excellence in Urban Sustainability). He has worked extensively in new healthcare design and was an early proponent of sustainability leading a sustainability workshop for Bridgepoint Health (then Riverdale Hospital) in 2005 and ultimately led the sustainability work on the Plenary/PCL team that completed the project in 2013. He also worked on North Bay Hospital, Bluewater Health and Niagara Health. He is Chair of the CaGBC Zero Carbon Steering Committee. In 2013 and 2021 Doug was named a member of Canada’s Clean 50. In 2011 and 2014 he was awarded Leadership Awards by the CaGBC.
