As EllisDon’s Vice President, Design Build, David Klassen is responsible for the development of effective and responsive design build proposals for P3 and AFP projects in Ontario and across Canada. David assembles full design build teams of Architects, Engineers, consultants, and design build trade contractors and, together with EllisDon’s Design Build Team, manages these project teams to develop and present creative design and construction solutions in response to project requirements and the goals of project sponsors. Successful proposals include Seneca College King Campus Expansion, Joseph Brant Hospital, Providence Care Hospital (Kingston), the Waterloo Region Consolidated Courthouse, Pan Am Games Athletes’ village, Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, and the New Oakville Hospital. David provides overall leadership and strategic direction to the entire integrated design team challenging each team member to achieve innovative and successful designs.
