Betina Albornoz, MBA, CHE, CCMP, PMP

Betina is an entrepreneurial leader, strategic partner, and innovator who has been strongly committed to creating value for projects and organizations for over thirty years.

She is currently Fraser Health’s Chief Project Officer and Executive Director, Major Capital Projects for the New Surrey Hospital and BC Cancer Centre. She has been an integral part of the project since its inception. She has successfully managed critical areas of the project’s Concept & Business Plan, Procurement and Design & Construction phases, leading Fraser Health’s next generation of innovative and fully electric hospitals.

During her tenure with Fraser Health, Betina has led large, complex transformational projects in the capital developments portfolio at Fraser Health. She has held significant leadership roles on major capital projects such as the Abbotsford & Langley Memorial Emergency Department expansions, the Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment, and a region-wide optimization strategy for long-term care delivery programs. Before her tenure at Fraser Health, Betina has held senior leadership positions in diverse industries, including medical technology, automotive, manufacturing, design & construction, tourism and hospitality.

In her current role as CPO, she leads the integration of cross-functional workstreams across two health authorities, including Clinical and Technical teams, along with a wide range of Subject Matter Experts, community stakeholders, and various levels of Government.

Betina holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and multiple professional designations in project and change management. With a strong passion for leadership in healthcare innovation, she partners with senior leaders to achieve organizational goals while solidifying the foundations for long-term success.
