Angie Lim is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Child Health Evaluative Sciences at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). Her research focuses on nurse navigation and healthcare transitions, with a particular emphasis on supporting families of high-risk infants and children with medical complexity. Building on her doctoral work at the University of Victoria, Angie applies implementation science and qualitative methods to co-develop evidence-based, family-centred strategies that strengthen continuity of care across hospital and community settings.
In addition to her research, Angie is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Professional Practice at SickKids, where she provides leadership for interprofessional quality and safety initiatives. She serves as the hospital-wide lead for preventing catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) and the implementation of the Comfort & Safety Bundle, designed to proactively identify and support patients at risk for escalating behaviours.
Angie holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Nursing in Health and Illness from Toronto Metropolitan University, and a PhD in Nursing from the University of Victoria. She is also a faculty member at George Brown College and has taught across several Ontario universities, contributing to undergraduate, bridging, and graduate nursing programs. Through her dual roles in research and practice, Angie advances nursing knowledge, leadership, and system-level change to improve patient and family outcomes.
