Safe and effective service delivery needs safe, effective, and well-designed health care facilities. The first edition
of Z8000 did two things: it codified Canadian and international best practice to create a common design
reference for health care, and it pushed the field to accept new ideas that would improve patient outcomes.
Leaders of the Z8000 project will describe how the new Z8000 edition addresses technological advances and
changes to service delivery
