The P3 delivery method meant there were challenging scheduling and process considerations that required the creation of design processes and protocols to achieve consistency and a high level of quality throughout the facility. The engineering design for CHUM had to meet many challenges, not the least of which were the sheer magnitude of the project on a congested urban site, a strict energy target, and a series of RFP requirements that drove innovative solutions. The HHA team leads will give some insight on how they were able to best meet the competing objectives in delivering the new CHUM.
