This session explores the current state of digital infrastructure in healthcare facilities and the new direction of building system convergence and interoperation using project case studies. The speakers will highlight how to transform from a traditional hospital into a digital hospital in retrofitting and building new facilities including how offset costs and the features and benefits to facility operators, hospital staff, and patient care & the patient experience
Session Objectives:
– Assess the current state of healthcare facilities with respect to digital infrastructure, and integration & interoperation of existing systems
– Describe a pragmatic approach to upgrading existing facilities’ digital infrastructure, using CapEx, OpEx and Energy cost savings as drivers to fund potential projects
– Highlight benefits of digital infrastructure and system convergence to facility engineers/operations personnel
– Describe the ancillary benefits of upgrading digital infrastructure to improving patient care, patient comfort, and the patient experience
