Event description

The BC government has decided, in its recent budget, to put several LTC projects on hold. This extraordinary step, where beds are badly needed and so many hospital beds are stacked with ALC patients waiting for space in LTC, presents a significant challenge to BC’s health system, and there are concerns that the toll on the already stressed system will exceed current bandwidth. The Office of the Seniors Advocate will share the report it issued in July that speaks to the crisis before us and recommendations for improvements.

CCHF thought it would be timely to bring together industry and government leaders to share how we got here, how we can empower the sector to take back and seize opportunities to develop more LTC beds in perhaps new and innovative ways, and explore other potential avenues. Join Us and be a part of the conversation.
