John MacSween

John has led the design of major acute-care and specialized facilities, including Surrey Memorial Hospital Critical Care Tower and including the Penticton Regional Hospital Redevelopment, Segal Mental Health Centre, Royal Inland Hospital Patient Care Tower, Redfish Healing Centre, and Phase 2 of the Royal Columbian Hospital Redevelopment.

John’s qualifications span the full range of architectural services—from programming and clinical planning through design, documentation, and construction administration—for both renovations and new construction. He is recognized for maintaining project quality and continuity from inception to completion, and for leading large, multidisciplinary teams through complex design and construction phases. John also brings deep expertise in collaborative delivery models, including P3/AFP and DBFM projects, with extensive experience directing resources, aligning stakeholders, and resolving issues quickly to keep teams coordinated and outcomes patient-focused.
