Gillian is a founding principal of Pinna Sustainability, and a seasoned sustainability practitioner with a diverse interdisciplinary background in climate change and sustainability, process facilitation, and partner engagement. She is an engaging professional facilitator capable of bringing diverse groups into consensus, and has been a trained IAP2 Practitioner since 2007. Gillian is best known for her ability to work with diverse audiences to gather knowledge and bring collective wisdom into the planning process. In recent years, she has been the lead designer for dozens of inter-agency engagement processes focused on climate action, risk and resilience, including the provincial Disaster and Climate Risk and Resilience Assessment, the BC Energy Step Code, including risk and resilience assessments in the healthcare sector. Gillian also has significant experience working with agencies and First Nations to support Indigenous leadership and resilience to climate change. Gillian is a skilled networker with a natural ability to develop and leverage partnerships to meet objectives, and is an excellent communicator and knowledge translator, able to connect with people and clearly convey complex topics to diverse audiences.
