Ian Duffet

Director of Municipal Engineering, Department of Municipal and Intergovernmental Affairs

Ian is a graduate from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration. Ian recently moved from healthcare infrastructure to take on a new role leading planning and design of municipal infrastructure. He started in healthcare in 2009 with Eastern Health Integrated Regional Health Authority managing small to medium sized renovation projects. Since then, Ian has managed increasingly larger infrastructure projects.

Ian managed the construction of the facility that will be host to October’s CCHF Conference. The project was delivered successfully with the help of an exceptional team of technical staff, designers and clinical leads. Since then Ian has led the planning and programming for a new mental health facility in St. John’s and, most recently, the procurement of long term care services for 360 beds in four locations in the Province.
